Heavy Penny, c796-798?, c1.4g. EADWALD in three lines divided by lines of pellets./EADNOD, D is theta, Eadnoth within compartments of a quatrefoil, S947,N432(same dies).

Well centred, no cracks all boldly struck up and appears to be better than North's plate example, pl.6, no.13. Grading is about GVF and apparently only 5 are known of this type (approx. 15 are known in total, of all his types, most are in Museums). Recently a similar example was sold in The Stack's Auction for some £4,800 + premiums etc.
